Flavio Poli Murano Sommerso Vases, Green & Yellow Glass, Set of Two
A Flavio Poli-signed Murano Sommerso vases or candle holder showcasing layered green and yellow glass that creates a compelling sense of depth and light.
Produced in Murano’s historic furnaces in the 1950s – 1960s, it embodies the period’s refined craftsmanship and clean lines refined with the Technique — “Murano sommerso”: a layered technique where one or more colored glass cores are “submerged” beneath a thick layer of clear crystal. In the furnace, the colored core is repeatedly dipped into molten clear glass, building layers that produce optical depth, inner luminosity and a suspended-light effect. It demands precise timing and thermal control, and is a hallmark of postwar Murano glassmaking.
In really good condition: original sheen with minimal, age-appropriate signs that enhance its provenance.
Ideal as a sculptural object on tables or shelves, or as a statement accent in modern interiors.
Insured worldwide shipping: up to 100% immediate refund in the extremely rare case of loss or damages).
Two instalments payment option: 50% at order confirmation (not refundable) and 50% before shipping of the item (within 30 days maximum).
