Italian Midcentury Modern Mahogany and Rosewood Dining set, Osvaldo Borsani 1950s

Dining set, designed by Borsani that includes a beautifully shaped dining table and six matching chairs, each showcasing Borsani impeccable attention to detail and elegant aesthetic.

The dining table features a solid poplar and rosewood structure, expertly veneered, creating a rich and dynamic grain pattern. The surface is topped with a sleek black opaline glass panel, which is nestled within the wooden frame. The table’s base is adorned with delicate brass accents.

The six accompanying chairs are crafted from solid mahogany that complements the table’s pattern. Gently curved frames and seats still upholstered in their original red leatherette.

The set has undergone a meticulous restoration. The solid mahogany chairs have been fully restored and refinished. The original red faux leather remains in remarkable condition, free from any damage. The brass elements have been polished to restore their original luster. The table’s wood structure has been carefully treated and refinished, the black opaline glass top remains intact, with only minor signs of age.
