Thonet, an Austrian company founded in 1819, is credited with transforming furniture into functional works of art. This set, produced probably beetwen the 1960s – 1970s, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design sensibilities. These chairs are particularly admired for their graceful curves and simplicity, embodying the functional elegance of mid-century modern design.
