Set of four Space Age chrome dining chairs, Gastone Rinaldi for RIMA, Italy, 1970s Set of four mid-century steel dining chairs designed by Gastone Rinaldi for RIMA, 1970s. The chairs are made of fine beautifully shaped chrome-plated tubular steel and four original faux leather cushion seats. The chrome has been polished while the leather upholstery has been repaired where necessary by an upholsterer. In very good condition with few signs of age. Designer information: Italian designer Gastone Rinaldi was born in Italy in 1920 and took over RIMA, a family metal furniture manufacturer, in 1948 (together with his brother Giorgio). Soon after, RIMA became a leading company in the industry in Italy, creating highly successful products and truly iconic Italian design pieces.
