“Kappa” Ceiling Pendant by Sergio Mazza for Artemide, Italy 1960
Designed by Sergio Mazza, one of Italy’s most influential mid-century designers, this rare “Kappa” ceiling pendant embodies the perfect fusion of form and function. Mazza, known for his timeless lighting designs that blend industrial precision with elegant aesthetics, created this piece for Artemide, one of the most prestigious Italian lighting manufacturers.
Dating back to 1960, this stem-suspension lamp features a refined matte nickel-plated brass structure, complemented by a dual-layer glass shade. The upper diffuser is made of white opal glass, while the lower shade in pressed crystal enhances light diffusion, creating a sophisticated and atmospheric glow als othanks the three lights bulbs system.. Fully recabled and revised, the brass components have been polished, maintaining their original luster. The lamp remains in very good vintage condition, with only minor signs of time on the brass elements.
