Rare 1960s Gio Ponti Console Table for Singer.

Manufactured in Italy in the 1960s, the item is made of lacquered oak wood and elegant black iron legs.

Singer 411 model console features the distinctive touch of Italian design legend Gio Ponti. It was created by the Ufficio Progetti Gio Ponti for the renowned Singer company, for which Ponti and his team designed several pieces of furniture over the course of their long and prolific collaboration.

The console has an openable top which used to close the section of the furniture where the sewing machine originally stranded. Moreover, on the front stand two small drawers.

The item has been fully restored. The iron legs have been repainted. Wood has been refinishing and polished. Veneer has been repaired where needed. In very good conditions with only few signs of time
